Expresiones de Jenniffer González sobre decisión del Primer Circuito de Apelaciones

La decisión del Primer Circuito de Apelaciones, declarando ilegal la forma en que se nombraron los miembros de la Junta de Control Fiscal, nos deja en el mismo estado de subyugación colonial. Por eso estuvimos en contra de su aprobación. Ahora, el Tribunal cambia la composición de la Junta, pero no su poder sobre la isla, un retrato más del absurdo colonial.

Es evidente que Puerto Rico no necesita una Junta, necesita sus dos senadores y cinco representantes con voz y voto para que el modelo económico de igualdad pueda prosperar.

The decision of the First Circuit Court of Appeals, declaring illegal the way in which the members of the Fiscal Control Board were appointed, leaves us in the same state of colonial subjugation. That's why we were against its approval. Today the court changes the composition of the board but not its power over the island, a further portrait of the colonial absurdity.

It is evident that Puerto Rico does not need a board, it needs its two senators and 5 representatives with voice and vote so that the economic model of equality can prosper.
