JENNIFFER GONZÁLEZ ANNOUNCES $1.4 MILLION FOR THE MUNICIPALITY OF GUAYNABO

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Jenniffer González-Colón announced $1,475,454.13 in federal funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the Municipality of Guaynabo as part of the reconstruction and recovery work in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
The respective funds were granted following the Declaration of Disaster, which was issued after Hurricane Maria for Emergency Protection Measures under the Public Assistance program. According to Section 403 of the Robert T. Stafford Act, this allows the disbursement of federal funds to carry out emergency measures for the repair, replacement or restoration of public property.
The reimbursement will be available once recipients complete all the required documentation and after it is reviewed by the government.
